"something bigger"
“Vez, this is Emily and Naomi. We’re in the car on our way back from France. We just spent three days non-stop brainstorming. We want to move to South Africa… but we don’t want it to just be about us. We need something… bigger.”
Vez: “Hop on a call.. I think we need to work together.”

"we’ve always been the expressive ones. the girls who felt too much, thought too deep, and never really fit the mold."

that call with Vez
That call with Vezi left us dazzled, maybe even uncomfortable. We both had the same feeling. South Africa was calling us, not just for a trip, but for something deeper. There was no plan, just a pull. A foggy sense that we were meant to create something there. So we started sharing on Instagram.
Just the two of us, talking about our dream to move, to build, to make something meaningful. We didn’t expect much. But slowly, people started to listen. They related. They reached out. And before we knew it, over 7,000 people were following the journey. Not because we had it all figured out, but because it was honest.
Then Vezi came.
A creative mentor and community builder from Langa who had already been doing the work for years. He had created programs, set up studios, and helped young people turn their talent into something real. All of this without funding, without fame, just heart.
What if we did this together? What if our dream of moving could also become a way to build something that lasts? That’s how the project Creative Hub was born. A space in Langa where young people can show up as they are. To learn. To create. To mess up and start again.
To turn ideas into income, and self expression into confidence. It’s not perfect. It’s not polished. But it’s real. And it’s happening.
We’re Naomi and Emily.
Two girls who followed a feeling. That feeling became a plan. And that plan? It’s turning into something much bigger than us.
